Fall 2008 EDUC 353 Science Programs in EL

I Love Science!

I absolutely love science. This is the most fascinating subject to me. I can't wait to begin teaching.
This class was taught by a great middle school science teacher. She gave our class great ideas on how to teach science successfully and in a way that will intrigue students. I learned that there is always time for a hands on activity, whether its a lab that took a long time to set up or just a quick and easy experiment. Science cannot be something that is taught straight out of a book. Science is everywhere and in everything. I honestly want to set up hands on and visual activites several times a week. You cannot get the full force of science if you don't get to experience it.
